Songs of the Sabbath is a second world war coming of age story. A Jewish couple flees Germany leaving their son behind to care for his grandmother. Their lives intersect with an Irish Catholic boy whose father has just died. Bonds forged in grief for lost loved ones, transcend the borders of faith.
